Climate change is inevitable. Pollution is not.

Climate change is inevitable. It's been happening for millenia. Pollution is a man-made problem that God will hold us accountable for. How long does it take for a soaked disposable diaper inside a diaper-genie wrapper inside of a plastic trash bag take to biodegrade? I don't know the answer, and I don't know how to change either. USA policies established to protect or appease the citizens of the USA and certain special interest groups have wreaked absolute havoc on the environments of less developed countries without protections like the EPA. Almost every day vessels set sail for the USA from Asia delivering goods made for our store shelves. These vessels are not made to travel empty. They must return to Asia laden with SOMETHING. Do you think American citizens would be more inclined to adjust their lifestyles, expectations, and choices if our landfills were right here in their own backyard? The far hotter issue however is that these convoys of merchant vessels cannot traverse by the most direct route, they have to be rerouted several hundred miles out of their way due to an accumulation of mostly plastic products LARGER THAN THE STATE OF TEXAS floating in the Pacific Ocean. As I understand it, this is International Waters therefore it is "nobody's problem". It continues to grow. Daily. THE WORD MUST BE SPREAD AND ACTION MUST BE TAKEN SOON. My stepdad verified this for me before he retired and closed up shop on his company the APEXQ American Plastics Exchange. We all need to take personal responsibility on a daily basis to do everything we can to decrease waste, recycle and/or compost, decrease water usage, decrease use of fossil fuels, and love life at every level, in every form, all around us.
