Teach Gender Equality in School

Everyday across America, our children are learning from the media that women are sex objects and don't deserve the same rights as men. This problem can be stopped. I believe we can contracept these thoughts by educating our children right in their schools, that everybody is equal and we deserve to be treated as such. We also need to tell our girls that they can do what ever they want, and they don't have to be stay at home mom's. It is vital for us to do society a favor by teaching our children about the importance of equality. Please, sign this petition if you want to see an America with equality between the genders.

Thank you so very much

Hello, this is Harrison Graf, a former student living in Utah.

If you look at today's society, one thing you are sure to notice is women all around America, being oversexualized and restrained from doing the things they want to do, just because they are told that their place is in the house. In 2013, a woman who works full time, brings home an average of $706.00 a week. A man- also working full time, brings home around $860.00 per week. There is obviously something not right with this. Women around the U.S. are getting fed ideas that they belong in the kitchen, cooking and cleaning, and taking care of the children. While children should have the care they deserve, why must a women be forced to stay home while the man works? Think about your wife, or your daughter, both of whom I am sure that you cherish them dearly. What if your daughter was forced to stay home and be a slave to her spouse? I'm sure that you would be furious. At Sue Duncan's Children's Center, the four core values are Respect, Education, Independence, and Determination. Let's make all of our schools like your wife's school. I firmly believe that if we teach our children about equality between the sexes, we can make the America a better place. It all starts with our children. If we teach our boy's to respect girls, an  that they should be equal, we could potentially change the way we see society as a whole. I know you want what is best for your children, so why not for all the children in America? So please, add equality to the curriculum of schools across America.
