15 sturgeon were caught in Salem's cooling intakes between January and April, and four of those died as a result. At these rates, it is impossible for sturgeon to sustain their current low numbers, let alone recover.
A NJ conservation group has called on the federal government to stop activities that put sturgeon in danger until protections are put in place to help endangered sturgeon. Please sign the petition to support sturgeon recovery!

Salem's nuclear plant should not have the right to harm endangered species in order to do their business. We respectfully urge you to stop the plant's harmful activity until protections are put in place that will help sturgeons sustain their numbers.
