Playground for the Downtown of Mission (South of 7th Ave)

To have a playground in the downtown of Mission is very important for many reasons. One of which that is important to me is community building. The downtown gets a bad reputation and the only way to stop that is to show that we are a community. To build community you need to get out and meet your neighbours. As a mother the fastest way I have found to meet other families at the playground but I don't get to meet my neighbours because there is no easily accessible playground.
The downtown core is starting to have more young families and there are many families already here. With the neighbourhood housing many low income and at risk youth it is more important than ever that there be a place where families can meet each other and not be isolated. The only way we can help one another is to know them.
I have found two locations that I believe are great candidates for this playground but if the signers have any other locations please let me know. My locations are the vacant lot beside Mackie Naturals Spa (7411 Grand st) and the condemned home at 32977 3rd ave where I already talked to both neighbours to see if they would approve of a playground next door.
