Doctor Who: Choose a woman or person of color to be the next Doctor

Doctor Who will be choosing a new character for its lead role of The Doctor in 2018, and it's high time the show's producers chose a woman or a person of color.

Sign this petition to show head writer and showrunner Chris Chibnall that you support a Doctor who isn't another white male!

I'm a huge Doctor Who fan, and I'm incredibly excited to see that the media is picking up on fans' desire to see some diversity in our favorite show.

Doctor Who is one of television's longest-running and most-loved shows. It's been on air since 1963, with the exception of a 10-year hiatus. The series is led by a time-traveling alien character called The Doctor, who changes form (and thus casting) every few years.

But every single time, the producers have chosen a white male to play this hero of the universe.

Fans and reporters have already started suggesting some out-of-this-world candidates for a more diverse Doctor. If enough of us join this campaign, we can convince the show's producers that this is what the fans want to see.

Sign the petition to join the campaign - if you have a vote for who you think the Doctor should be, leave their name in the comment box when you sign!
