The Northern Education Trust is harming children!

British citizens have a negative right to freedom of expression under the human rights act 1998, as long as they are not harming anybody with racial discrimination, religious discrimination, verbal abuse, ect. So, with this act in mind, please tell me why it is acceptable to force other people's rules and opinions on individual, unique children and not allow them to retaliate peacefully without being ignored or felt disregarded or talked down upon with condescendance. The Northern Education Trust proclaim that one of their values, highlighted in bold on their website, is that "The welfare of others is the first concern of all." Truly, I know that they have completely contradicted themselves in this statement, many a times ignoring children's cries for help. An example of a time they have disregarded children's mental and physical wellbeing, is when many children; not only children, also their parents with understandable rage; have complained and with a right to freedom of speech, peacefully, that the rules including that females must wear 60 dernier tights and that children have to have very specific items of clothing and with all the extra curricular non optional activities and increased amounts of standardized testing and homework are appaling in their opinion and dangerous to the children's health and cause stress and anxiety, however I have yet to find any evidence of the NET taking these numerous pleads into consideration to protect the children's health and wellbeing. They also boldly make the statement that "every child is held to be of equal value." I would argue that this is a fair statement, but giving two children the same things does not provide for both of their unique needs, however giving both students different tasks that are achievable and rewarding to their mental capacity would be considered fair and 'equal,' not just giving everyone the same work, the same punishments, the same opportunities, when they all have different needs, different dreams and different capabilities. I genuinely never knew one child who enjoyed my school before we were a part of the Northern Education Trust, but now that we have joined the system, children are at peak stress levels, mental health disorders are on a substantial rise, and the children are feeling that they are futile to a system that is no help to them, they are becoming even more enraged and it is mentally degrading, I promise you could ask any student in my school what they think of how the school had changed since joining the NET, and not one of them will have a positive thing to say. Children are not robots, they are not toys, they are not test "monkeys" or representatives of how successful your business is, every child has different talents, different beliefs, different goals and plans, forcing standardised testing, old fashioned learning techniques and strict, punishing, degrading rules on them to make your company look better is cruel and inhumane. Surely you can't tell me that me advocating for change, just even to step out of the Northern Education Trust, is not at least me trying to help our future generations and our planet and community. With the right treatment and care, we can grow up to be an understanding, loving and talented community, but with this care we are growing up mentally ill, incapable of achieving our goals, susceptible to stress and illness. This is not a matter of opinion or judgement, this is a matter of urgency and time. Please, change our schools for the better, or at least remove the system that is killing them.
