Tell Chris Christie That Climate Change IS a Crisis

Science points to the possibility that the Jersey shore will be under water within fifty years because of climate change. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie knows that climate change is real. So why is he failing to make it a priority?

Christie claims that climate change is not a crisis despite the mounting evidence that ocean-side communities and island communities are in imminent peril of flooding. Please join me in asking Christie to allocate climate funds in the governor's next budget.

Dear Mr. Christie:

We the undersigned are relieved to learn that you are not a climate change denier. But to say, as you have, that climate change is not a crisis is a disservice to your public. Climate change doesn't just threaten poverty-stricken third world countries. Science strongly suggests that climate change threatens coastal communities in New Jersey. Many people who voted for you may find themselves under water in a few years. Please take climate change seriously and allocate specific funds to alleviate this issue in your next budget.
