PETITION FOR COMPASSIONATE RELEASE: PELTIER, JAMAL, PLUS ALL STABLE-MINDED, AGED PRISONERS

"PETITION TO PRESIDENT OBAMA FOR COMPASSIONATE RELEASE OF PELTIER, ABU JAMAL, ETC., PLUS ALL STABLE-MINDED, AGING PRISONERS WHO HAVE SERVED 20 OR MORE YEARS"

URGENT PETITION TO PRESIDENT OBAMA:

BEFORE LEAVING OFFICE, PLEASE GRANT COMPASSIONATE RELEASE --REGARDLESS OF CHARGES -- TO THESE HIGHLY RESPECTED AND/OR AGING PRISONERS WHO HAVE SERVED 20 YEARS OR MORE OF THEIR SENTENCE, and for ALL aging prisoners who do not pose a threat to society. THIS IS URGENT!

We speak specifically of LEONARD PELTIER, MUMIA ABU JAMAL, DR. MUTULU SHAKUR, SUNDIATA AKOLI, RUSSELL MAROON SHOATZ, JAMIL ABDULLAH AL-AMIN (H. RAP BROWN), OSCAR LOPEZ RIVERA, and all those caught up in COINTELPRO, as well as all other political prisoners.

Special Consideration of Clemency should also extend to EDWARD SNOWDEN and CHELSEA MANNING whose infractions were based upon national crimes perpetrated by the government itself upon the citizenry in its over-zealousness.

PLEASE NOTE: The United States has the largest prison population in the world. Many believe it has the cruelest form of punishment in the world with little hope of any actual mode of rehabilitation. This is exacerbated by for-profit prisons and requirements to fill to capacity. (Research can provide proof,)

The need for Justice Reform and Prison Reform must match the recognized need for Police Reform in this country. Thus, in seeking compassionate release for all aging prisoners, especially those who have served 20 or more years already, one must consider that they have already served a virtual "lifetime" by reasonable generational designations. We need a system with more appropriate and realistic Rehabilitation, and certain eventual Release into the Community of those who are not a threat to the public. This is especially true for political prisoners, many of whose very apprehension was suspect to begin with in too many instances, coupled with the incarceration of the masses -- where the indecency of the plea-bargaining system is plagued with fraud. Various restructuring schemes should be based on tested European models.

Faith Community: Consider the example that Yahweh granted the original killer, Cain, life-freedom using only a mark for protection. Review Genesis to discover the rationale for the reference. How can mankind justly do so grossly otherwise?
