The Canadian government has denied Petter Blindheim's request to stay at vet hospital, Camp Hill. Blindheim received six war medals while serving with the Royal Norwegian Navy. Allied veterans are entitled to benefits under the War Veterans Allowance (WVA).In the last year, Mr. Blindheim has sprained his back and broke his arm, and Blindheim's 73-year-old wife can no longer manage his care on her own. The family isn't giving up hope and we will also keep fighting for Mr. Blienheim.  Please sign this  pettion that is being sent to the Office of the PM & Veterans Affairs Canada & every media outlet available.  Please remember to share the petition link on social media.  Thank you for your support! "Norwegian war hero to get care at Halifax veterans' hospital after months of struggle" - CBC News. Our Canadian government has reversed their decision and IS now granting Mr. Blinheim's request to be admitted to Camp Hill and he will move-in this Wednesday, June 29th, 2016. Our government is also re-writing regulations that are "currently not compassionate" and this will help other veterans as well!! Thank you all for your signatures and for sharing on social Media!

" Whoever wrote the letter to the family had to go to an awful lot of extra effort to find a way to say no," - Peter Stoffer, Veterans advocate & former MP. "There is absolutely nothing stopping the minister from exercising his authority and allowing Mr. Blindheim into Camp Hill immediately." The Canadian government has rejected the family's request 3 times. See details: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/stoffer-norweigan-veteran-halifax-camp-hill-blindheim-1.3613575
