Help stop the killings of 20,000 dolphins and porpoises in Taiji, Japan each year!!!

Once again it is that time of year! Beginning 1 September, more than 20,000 dolphins and porpoises will be needlessly killed in the Cove of Taiji, Japan, and their meat, which contains harmful toxins will be sold as food, much of which goes to waste and is not labelled as being dolphin meat!! The dolphin families are herded into the Cove and stabbed and drowned to death with their pain and suffering echoed through their cries and screams!!

Help put a stop to the brutal killings of these intellegent creatures! Please sign the petition to make a difference and raise awareness! We need to let it be known that we will not accept the cover up of this bloodshed!

Please sign!! Together we can unite and make an impact!! Lets increase the pressure on Japan!

Dear Sir,

I recently found out that more than 20,000 dolphins and porpoises are brutally killed each year in the cove of Taiji, Japan. The meat of the dolphins is being sold in Japan to consumers, but dolphin meat contains dangerous levels of mercury and is often misleadingly labelled as whale meat!

I write this letter with the request that you back this cause and urge the Japanese Government to put a stop to the grave and inhumane killings of these gentle and intellegent animals.

There is increasing pressure to put a stop to the slaughter of whales and dolphins, which was clear in the recent 64th Annual Meeting of the International Whaling Commission (IWF).

Please help with this cause to stop the suffering to these gentle and intellegent animals.
