Continue to Allow Refugee Torture Survivors into the United States!

The Refugee Program Integrity Restoration Act of 2017 (H.R.2826) has proposed to disallow people from other countries who are victims of torture to be considered for refugee status in the United States. This act will tip the scales of social justice in the United States because for generations the U.S. has supported refugee resettlement, no matter what the circumstance. If we consider excluding people; especially those who may need our help in the future, we are no longer the great nation we once were. There is no shortage of resources to help our own, why not consider extending our hands to the countless people in other countries who are being victimized every day by war and torture? I propose to eradicate H.R. 2826 with your help. All you need to do is sign this petition to save someone in need, and make America a better place for yourself and others who probably will never get the chance if H.R 2826 is enacted.
