Demand the Government Revokes 27 New Fracking Licences - Save the Countryside of the UK!

A thousand square miles of England are to be opened up for fracking, according to a report in The Guardian.

Large areas of Yorkshire, north-west and east Midlands have been earmarked for oil and gas exploration as the UK government announces it will offer licences for 27 new sites.

Head of Greenpeace’s energy campaign, said: “This is the starting gun on the fight for the future of our countryside. Hundreds of battles will spring up to defend our rural landscapes from the pollution, noise and drilling rigs that come with fracking."

It is alleged that fracking poses serious risks to the health and safety of communities and to the environment. The UK government should explore other environmentally friendly alternatives, such as geothermal, solar and wind.

Will you join me in demanding the UK Government revokes 27 new fracking licences to ensure the safety of communities and the environment?
