Cruz: Don't Prohibit Rape and Incest Victims From Getting Abortions!

Ted Cruz believes that if a woman becomes pregnant as the result of a rape, she should be forced to carry the pregnancy to term.

If he becomes the GOP's candidate for the presidential election, he will be the first Republican nominee since Roe v. Wade to not make exceptions for rape and incest.

When challenged on his beliefs, he said that it should be left up to the states. This is not enough. No woman should be forced to endure the trauma that comes from an unwanted pregnancy involving rape and incest.

Tell Ted Cruz to rethink his extreme views on abortion and — at the very least — make an exception for cases of rape and incest.
Dear Ted Cruz,

I'm deeply concerned about your views on abortion. You've said abortion should be illegal in all cases — including instances of rape and incest. A woman who has survived rape or incest has already endured enough trauma, and forcing her to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term is a cruel, unnecessary, painful burden.

If you are chosen as the GOP's presidential nominee, you will be the first Republican candidate since the passage of Roe v. Wade that doesn't make exceptions for abortion when it's in the case of rape or incest.

I strongly urge you to rethink your views on abortion. Forcing rape and incest victims to carry their pregnancy to term is a dangerous and traumatic stance to take. At the least, I hope you make exceptions for women who have survived these horrible circumstances.

Sincerely,
