Keep rape shelters, and other female safe spaces, only for women

Rape shelters are institutions made to help women from the rape and threats of men, who statistically are the the offenders in rape scenarios, Bill C-16 has made any debate on allowing men to "self identify" as women into women's shelters hate speech. This is hurting women and children, as one male in a shelter would displace a woman who had a greater need statistically, as well in the volume of the number of women requiring shelters, to be displaced from the system that was designed to help her. Trans identified male (TIM) rights should be supported in different ways that do not displace women. Trans identified males and women have purposes and views that do not align. This is often the case with sex positive work, prostitutes like Hailey Heartless, a trans identified male, who was asked to speak for women in the Vancouver march this year, by the transphilic community is an example of this. This display is pushing the idea that men are women, simply based on the way they feel. Women do not want sex work to be pushed, women do not want BDSM normalized, as Ms. Heartless promotes it, even to children. Finally, women are concerned that medical interventions to make men women are not based on supported science and that speaking out has political, cultural and violent reactions from a transphilic society, that is now threatening women into silence. Women have been asked to leave shelters for voicing discomfort by trans identified males in their shelter's; this shows that the trans identified male is given preference in a female clinic, over women, causing clients harm. The mental disorder that causes a man to want to represent as a woman, rather than a TIM, can not be dealt with in a woman's shelter, these men need better services, and better professionals to serve their unique conditions.
