The students of south Korea is pressured to study many hours a day by parents and/or teachers in preparation of the CSAT (College Scholastic Ability Test). The pressure to preform well on this test to get accepted to a university results in stress, depression and suicide overall. (the CSAT results decides on whether the student is eligible to apply for college or not). parents strive their students to enter top institutions as well as having top grades making it impossible for most to have free time, even on holidays and weekends.
