Owner demands return of mourning dog from Florence Lauderdale Animal Shelter

My dog is mourning for his owner, me. I have tried to adopt him and the Shelter will not allow me to have him back. I was told I could have any dog in the shelter but I could not have him. I plan to take legal action against said Shelter and pray that I can get him back before he mourns himself to death.

The Shelter is saying that I abandoned my dog in October of this year and abandonment is punishable by law. I have researched this "law" online and it does not exist. I did what I did as a last resort to save my dog's life, as well as my own at the time.

I have been following the Shelter's Facebook page as well as talked to them over the phone. I realized on Monday, November 23, 2015 when I talked with Vinny Grosso on the phone that morning, and was told the dog was not adjusting to the Shelter and they had him in the back part of said Shelter, my dog is mourning for me. I am all he has ever known.

I pray you will help me by signing this petition to have him returned to me as soon as possible.

The "abandonment" issue will be in litigation in the near future.

Thank you one and all,
Teresa Green
