Remove "Nancy Pelosi Drive" from Golden Gate Park

We believe that “Nancy Pelosi Drive” is not reflective of a social conscious deserving of public honor, and therefore the Golden Gate Park street named such should be retired. Nancy Pelosi’s achievements mostly consist of symbolic “firsts”. She has not fought to win gains for the working class, only for her own political career. Repeatedly she has demonstrated that she does not hold the level of integrity necessary for leadership, much less recognition by one of America’s most treasured community spaces, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, California.
Bravery and courage are essential components towards defeating the nationalistic, right-wing authoritarian President Donald Trump. In one of the most crucial times in United State history, Nancy Pelosi is completely complacent in his pursuit of fascism under the guise of “bipartisan collaboration”. There is no room for cooperation with a homophobic, racist, misogynist, sexual predator.
If Nancy Pelosi won’t stand up to Donald Trump then her “triumphs” such as becoming the first woman Speaker of the House and the first woman (what else is she know for ) are nothing more than symbolic victories that do not deserve recognition.
San Francisco is a beacon across the world for being the center of social justice activism and has countless influence of global culture on the premise of acceptance, equality, and creativity. Pelosi’s legacy is in disrepair through her betrayal and it is imperative that “Nancy Pelosi Drive” be immediately revoked.
