Demand Harsher Penalties for Texas Man Who Shot and Paralyzed Teen!

  • by: Kristi Arnold

Despite paralysing one teenager and causing another to lose a kidney, this man who was shooting in an open field near a school is facing no jail time. Instead he's getting three years of probation. Let's ask the judge to reconsider the sentence.

Dustin Wesley Cook has denied that his actions were negligent and expressed remorse to the victims and their families.

“I’ve spent the last two years praying for you to recover, as well as Edson,” he told Nicko Tijerina. “I understand your anger and your frustration and I read about a year ago in the newspaper where you had mentioned [not] reaching out. I tried since day one, but I couldn’t because of the case.”

Both victims’ families have civil lawsuits against Cook pending.

Three years of probation is not enough for his negligent behavior. Ask the judge to reconsider Cook's sentence.

Dear Sirs,

We the undersigned believe that Dustin Wesley Cook's sentence should be reconsidered.
