Six years for the killer of a young nurse is a disgrace to both British law and what we believe in

A young Edinburgh nurse was killed leaving a little lad motherless after an eighteen year old drove into her while being pursued by police,he was un-insured and was driving a car he paid only £40 for which speaks for itself that it was evidently unfit for the road, yet he still chose to drive it and the police still chose to pursue him with the knowledge that they were pursuing a young and inexperienced driver, regardless of who was to blame Jill Pirie lost her life after finishing her work in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary treating patients and doing a job she evidently loved doing and working to support her young son,A sentence of six years is a disgrace,he will be released in probably half that time to continue his life as he chooses yet Jills son will have to live with the fact he will never see his mum again for the rest of his life,Please sign the petition and get better justice for Jill and her family by getting her killer brought back to court to receive a sentence that matches the crime, taking a life regardless of how and why it happened makes no difference, especially when Jill spent her life saving the lives of others
