Demand to stop cell phone addiction!

What I want is simple; I want college students to lower the face time they have with their cell phones. Go an hour without it a day, don't us it while riding the bull runner, or even while walking to class, take time to observe the world around you. I want to encourage students to be more social and not just social over the Internet. I ask you to spark up a conversation with the person next to you, make a new friend. I ask for simple, manageable tasks like putting your phone down while eating with friends and putting it on silence. If you don't want to silence it for security reasons put it on vibrate, check the notification to see if it is an emergency, and if not I ask for you to put phone goes right back down and interact with your friends. Or let's say your walking to class; don't go on Twitter or Instagram to find the latest "trends" or seeing what going on in the cyber world, instead of the real world. USF's campus is so very beautiful, bright with green that's filled with breathe taking scenery, but as I walk on campus I see every student with there eyes glued to their screens. AND I AM NOT EVEN GOING TO LIE, I confess to these allegations too, I have fallen into cellular trap and landed half way through an episode of The Office not knowing what is going on because I was scrolling through Facebook. So come on my fellow peers and please sign this petition! I'm asking is for you to at least try this out for one day and see how it it is. Try to experience the world around and not the world that only fits in the palm of your hand.
