Separation of Church and State

The USA was founded because English citizens were facing religious persecution and wanted to build a country around the idea that there would be no official religion and anyone had the right to believe anything they wanted without having life, liberty, or personal freedoms taken away from them. Religion was supposed to be a personal choice, not an enforced one. But nowadays that isnt the case.
Kim Davis, the Sweet Cakes Bakery, and other such nonsensical cases are making a mockery of our legal system. Religious freedoms are secondary AFTER and only inside the parameters of legal freedoms. But people like Kim Davis and the thousands who line up behind her are forgetting one thing. This is not a Christian country. This is a country where the majority of people are Christian. That's a big difference. One person being Christian shouldn't make another person's beliefs less valid just because they are different.
Imagine a country like Pakistan, where nearly everyone is Muslim, and then imagine being a Christian there and having people treat your opinion, beliefs, life choices as though you were a big joke. The government cannot even force these Muslim people to treat you fairly according to the laws of the land, because no one obeys even if desicions come out in your favor (which is statistically less likely cause the law makers and enforcers are Muslim too). Sounds reprehensible right? That is what is happening in America right now to everyone that hasn't openly identified as Christian or lived how certain Chirstians believe they should. But, last I checked, I have the right to decide how I want to live and what I want to believe in. No, wait, I mean I did. Now, I have the right to live and believe as I see fit, as long as I don't go against popular opinion. Strange that the last part wasn't in the Declaration of Independance.
