Demand that Tom Cruise play John Shaft

In a true interest of fairness and equality, it has become obvious that our art and culture must reflect the issues of repression, bigotry and insensitivity, and the ignorance that follows in our modern culture.
We have gratefully seen a change to a more understanding attitude with the BBC and their choice of a female Doctor Who.
Unfortunately that for reasons of popularity and not of cultural understanding, Ian productions still has chosen Daniel Craig to continue as James Bond, instead of allowing Idris Elba (A Black Man) to take up the role for reasons of social awareness.
However, there is a cause out there that is not getting the much needed attention it should, and one that must be acknowledged in the interest of fairness and understanding in the hopes of bringing down the false lines that divide race and gender.
It is the hope that we can get the entertainment industry to acknowledge, that it is about time to have a White, John Shaft.
John Shaft originally played by Richard Roundtree, followed by Samuel L. Jackson, is portrayed as a Black man, which is fine for the racially divided era of the 1970s, however Samuel L. Jackson portrayed Shaft in the 21st Century, far beyond the time of Jim Crow laws and insensitivity.
Unfortunately the Character is still seen in modern culture as a “Black Man” presenting the seemingly insurmountable challenge of finding an actor who could possibly be able
to reprise the role as a white man.
There has been an actor to cross the race barrier other than Denzel Washington, who played Robert McCall in the Equalizer, originally played by Edward Woodward.
This actor played a Japanese Samurai, and he wasn't Japanese, he wasn't even Asian.
That actor was Tome Cruise, and he played the Samurai, Captain Nathan Algren in the 2003 blockbuster smash “The Last Samurai” .
A White Man who played a Japanese Samurai.
There can be no other choice than such a versatile actor as Mr. Tom Cruise to bring balance and sensitivity to our culture by portraying the gritty inner city detective, John Shaft.
Even Though Tom Cruise is 55 years old we can not let his age stop him from playing the gritty detective. as Samuel L Jackson was 51 when he played Shaft, and Idris Elba, will be 48 - 50 by the time he gets his chance at Bond, so age is not an excuse, as well as age discrimination.

We the undersign urge the entertainment industry,
In the interest of equality, fairness and cultural understanding,
To produce a movie staring Tom Cruise as John Shaft.
