Signing this petition is an agreement to pick up a day and put down your phone for a whole 24 hours! Tune into the world around you and, If you can, tell us about it! What did you unplug for? A beach day? Movies with friends? A crazy roadtrip? Celebrating a holiday with family? Tell us why! #CofCUnplug

-Nearly 70 percent of Americans ages 18 to 64 recently chatted on their phones while driving, and about 30 percent of this group sent text messages while behind the wheel

-44% of cell phone users have slept with their cell phone by their side so they didn't miss a notification.

-29% of Americans say their phone is the first and last thing they look at every day.

OPEN YOUR EYES. Spend a day looking up from your phone. Even if unplugging simply means one more engaging conversation, one more stop sign noticed, or one less charleston brick tripped over, putting down your phone can transform your day into something happy and meaningful.  With Thankgiving right around the corner, the holday is the perfect time to put down your cell phone and engage with your family and friends.  This is a challenge, but its fun, its free, and potentially life changing.
