We all love our dogs but when it becomes an obsession to the point of poor care, neglect and abuse, the dogs end up as victims. These folks in the Harrison County area of Ohio were found holding 90 dogs in their care. Most of the animals were in an extremely poor state, living in sub-zero, snowy conditions. Many of them were chained to their doghouses while others were in pens made of wood and chicken wire. Several animals were crowded together in one pen.
Not only were the animals left in poor, freezing living conditions, a great number of the dogs were not socialized with humans and now have to undergo behavior testing to see which ones can get adopted, once they all get a good medical bill of health.
The dogs removed from the premises were of various mixed breeds. Although the owners were served a warrant, they do not yet face any particular charges. They need to be punished to the full extent of the law for the obvious abuse, neglect and abuse these animals had to endure. Ohio State Law Enforcement and Judicial System – Please ensure that these offenders who hoarded 90 dogs in Harrison County face the maximum charges allowed by law, a charge for each dog in their care in these deplorable, freezing conditions. These dogs need your support and care in this matter to see that the owners are punished severely for their criminal acts of animal cruelty, abuse and neglect.
