SAVIORS OF ANIMALS ARE NOT "CRIMINALS"

People who take in starving, homeless strays are currently prosecuted as animal abusers and hoarders. The woman down the street who takes in 30 stray cats who would otherwise starve or perish under the wheels of a car is a criminal? The man who rescues dogs from the streets who would otherwise be shot by neighbors or be euthanized by animal control is guilty of a criminal act?

Enough of this insanity!

Since when is it a crime to SAVE lives? Most of these caring souls support and feed these pitiful creatures with money out of their own pocket. Some are living on Social Security or Disability. They are often very poor.

Sadly, sometimes these animals die, despite what care that these people can afford. Death is a part of life itself. Mother Teresa cared for the poor in India, and they died, too. No one would accuse her of the criminal act of hoarding or abuse. She was compelled by the love of God to offer what comfort and assistance she could.

The REAL criminals are the ones who abandon them. The ones who move and leave them behind...homeless and starving. The ones who abuse and beat them. The ones who train and fight pitbulls. The ones who rape and torture pets. The ones who shoot squirrels and pigeons for entertainment. The ones who slaughter living creatures without mercy or who work in laboratories and perform "medical research" on them.

We support people who believe ALL life is sacred and live by their personal convictions.
