Demand Standard of Care Change for Uterine Invasive Procedures

I am calling for all women to sign this petition to allow for pain management options to be offered as a standard of care for Invasive Uterine Procedures including IUD’s and Fertility Testing.
    Standard of Care Changes:
-offered anesthesia option for HSG testing first
-offered controlled pain medications for IUD placement or the option of anesthesia first
-remove words such as “pressure, slight pinch” when obtaining informed consent for invasive procedures as these words are false descriptions of what a woman will/might experience. And therefore is not true informed consent.

Fertility testing involves an invasive procedure where a woman’s cervix is opened manually and then fluid is pushed into the uterus and fallopian tubes. Women are told they will feel, “ a lite pinch/pressure.” This is not true it is an excruciating invasive internal sterile procedure that should be done under anesthesia in a sterile environment or treated with controlled substance pain meds prior to a Medical provider laying hands on a woman’s most sensitive organs.
