South Korea has passed a new law that states that "Anyone who is a creator, sell, or buyer of materials containing adolescent pornography will be punished as a sexual offender". Now I'm all for portecting people, but what I don't understand is how vague they made the rules.

The law states the following counts:

  • Any appearances that could be seen as a teen/child
  • Any type of pornography from explicit sex to being semi-nude (think mini skirts or swimming suits)
  • Any media from illustrations, games, videos, films, etc.

So in other words, if a character in someone's fan art looks like an adolescent (despite age), that person could be accused of being a sexual offender. We need to get the word out because this new law is too ambiguous to make any since and will ruin the lives of countless people in South Korea.

Help spread the word, sign this petition, call anyone you think will help, do anything to help protect the lives of many innocent people from being wrongfully accused and even lose they're jobs because of this.

The law is supposed to protect people, not control or ruin them. And we need to get the point across to South Korea, any way we can.
