Malaysia Extreme Sport Association (MESA), an official yet contorversial extreme sport association in Malaysia which currently controlling bmx and skateboarding. After almost 10 years of their existence. There have done nothing to develop the sport and scene. The local community have decided not to wait or give another chance any longer. So we the community want it back and put an end by stopping them from exploiting the extreme sport scene and community. With this petition, we include the voice of ours communities. We hope that World Skate (former FIRS), Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM), Malaysia Ministry of Sport (KBS), Malaysian Sports Commisioner (RoSA), Asian Extreme Sports Federation (AXF) to take this into action.
*On Administrative Issue;*
▪national sport association is not owned by any individual. for almost 10 years, who elected MESA's President since the beginning?
▪Since their existence, none of the AGM attended by the community of action sports people. We never heard of.
▪We can assume the intention of MESA when the top position in the association are from the close family member. How the process of the election done to choose the main committee? Dont ask, no idea!
▪We need to put stop on the manipulation of sports organisation. We clearly want the community of any particular sport to controlled their own sport. It should be manage with a good governance and full of integrity. Let it run by those who are passionate and giving their commitment to the fullest. STOP MESA⛔ NO MORE MESA❌
*On Sports Issue:*
▪MESA have no proper planning on sports development.
▪No solid direction to show on how they can uplift the sports especially on grassroots level.
▪What are the development plan for athletes, officials?
▪They don't understand the sports technicality because none of the main committee coming from action sport background.
▪Even if they have organised a competition, it will be usually last minute. With little participation from the athlete, we surely know how MESA run things. They call it national level competition, but it is unfair for those who missed the opportunity due to lack and improper planning.
▪we need to know what is their motive to control this extreme sports?
