Move New Olympic Advertisement Frame!

Please don’t get me wrong here, I’m all about the premonition of Colorado Springs as “Olympic City”. I think making the role our town plays in Olympic training more known is fantastic! However, of all places, must we place a horrendously tacky, bright blue 10x8” frame-looking structure right in the center of one of the most prime spots to view the beyond gorgeous scenery that is Pikes Peak, Manitou, and Garden of the Gods?! This particular spot is a prime destination for weddings, those traveling up to thousands of miles, and for locals like myself to enjoy. There and so many more places to put this structure, and the sacred grounds of Garden of the Gods are not to be used as an advertising scheme. Like I said, the ongoing Olympic City project is great, however I have already witnessed multiple people have to move around the giant new piece of playground-looking equipment just to get it out of their photo. Not to mention the days of a panoramic shot of the area are dead. Let’s hope local kids don’t decide to cover the already eye sore of a structure in stickers, spray paint, and who knows what else... Please sign this petition below to have this new structure that is hidiousally obstructing our beautiful view moved somewhere else or taken down!!!
