Save Polar Bears by Ending Arctic Drilling

"The Arctic is home to a variety of animals that have evolved and adapted to the region’s harsh, frigid climate. These animals include humpback whales, caribou, narwhals, walruses, and of course, polar bears. These animals are now in danger since the Obama Administration has proposed oil and gas drilling in the Beaufort Sea. The American public has seen firsthand what an oil spill does to the environment, and it is highly likely that such an accident will occur if drilling is allowed in the Arctic. For the wellbeing of the environment and these animals, tell the Obama Administration to halt drilling in the Beaufort Sea.

The Obama Administration should be focusing on sustainable resources, like solar and wind energy instead of relying on dirty fossil fuels or gas. Our animals have suffered enough thanks to humans; we shouldn’t be adding another problem to the Arctic region. Humans are innovative and we can certainly find other ways to harness energy. Tell the Obama Administration to stop drilling in the Beaufort Sea so our polar bears and other endangered animals have a chance to survive."
