Since our invasion of Iraq acts of terrorism around the world have increased by over 100%. No number of troops can solve this problem.
But Senator Joesph Biden, along with Leslie Gelb, President Emeritus of the Council on Foreign Relations, have proposed a five-point plan that would bring peace to region without deploying more U.S. troops.
The only way to hold Iraq together and create the conditions that allow our armed forces to responsibly withdraw is to give Shiites, Sunnis, and Kurds incentives to pursue their interests peacefully and to forge a sustainable political settlement. To accomplish this, President Bush should endorse the Biden-Gelb five-point plan, which would:
Maintain a unified Iraq by decentralizing it in to regions. A central government would be left in charge of common interests.
Guarantee Sunnis a proportionate share of oil revenue so that each group has an incentive to maximize oil production, making oil the glue that binds the country together.
Create a massive jobs program while increasing reconstruction aid -- especially from the oil-rich Gulf states -- but tying it to the protection of minority rights.
Hold an international conference that would produce a regional nonaggression pact and create a Contact Group to enforce regional commitments.
Begin the phased redeployment of U.S. forces and withdraw most of them by the end of 2007.
This plan is consistent with Iraq's constitution and has been endorsed by many experts on Iraq. It will help rebuild the country while bringing our troops home.
TELL PRESIDENT BUSH TO SUPPORT SENATOR BIDEN'S FIVE-POINT PLAN FOR PEACE, NOT THE DEPLOYMENT OF MORE TROOPS TO IRAQ!
We signed the “Support the Peace Plan That Brings Iraq Troops Home!” petition!

America should withdraw from Iraq using Senator Biden's plan because every day we "stay the course" more die and there is no plan from the current administration on resolving the conflicts.

Our presence in this war has only brought more problems upon the people of Iraq. Our people and Iraq's people are dead and suffering. They and we want us out of Iraq. We have shattered the lives of so many people from a war we never should have started. Enough is enough. Bring our troops home now.

We should never have been there in the first place. The greedy manipulators who sent our men in there went without any understanding of the politics and religion of the area. This has caused untold damage to the Middle East land and is threatening to poison the entire region. Our men are dying needlessly, driven by commanders too chicken to be there themselves. End the massacre now, implement a resolution to assist them in handling their own complex crises, and save lives and limbs. We can never repair the physical and emotional damage done to the Middle East Region. How backward we really are!

Because it is a sensible plan that may actually work. We need to help these people make their country strong, and the guns does not do that! We must find other ways to deal with each other rather than killing each other!

This war should never have been initiated, but there should have been a plan such as this in place from the beginning, some means of ending the war and leaving the country in order rather than chaos.

It is time we pull our troops from Iraq ! All we are doing is protecting Halliburton workers now. If Halliburton wants it's own Army it needs to pay for mercenaries. The U.S. Army is not Halliburton's private Army.
