Justice for Linda

Linda Loaiza's waking nightmare began 4 years ago at the age of 18 when she was kidnapped, held prisoner in her attacker's home, and repeatedly raped, beaten and tortured. She was finally rescued by Venezuelan police 4 months later.
But Linda's suffering didn't end with her rescue. After waiting 3 years for a trial, the court set a trial date only AFTER Linda resorted to holding a 2-week hunger strike on the steps of the Supreme Court to raise media awareness of her plight. Amazingly, the judge appointed to the case let her attacker (the son of a very influential Venezuelan man) go free, citing a lack of evidence despite the fact that Linda was rescued from his apartment and he had been previously arrested for attacking another woman in 1999.
Linda's experience is deeply disturbing - both for the violence she suffered and for the corruption and the injustice she has faced in her quest to put her attacker behind bars where he can't hurt her or others. Linda's story is representative of the immense difficulty faced by women in many parts of the world when they seek justice in the face of violence and abuse.
It's been many months and Linda is still awaiting a trial date. Please don't let the Venezuelan justice system drag their feet any longer or deny Linda justice once again!

This is one of the MOST horrid stories I've ever heard in my life...CAN YOU imagine YOURSELF in Linda's shoes while she went through that horrifying ordeal? Well, can YOU? Try... Then maybe you can help this woman & give her the JUSTICE she deserves..How can you NOT help her? Because her attacker was some Rich Man's Son? That is a poor excuse for an excuse...You need to look at the FACTS~ What HAPPENED to Linda, WHO did it, & it's really as simple as that. LOOK at her face. She's been through the worst ordeal a woman can face. Seems as though alot of MEN that work in the Justice system think Women WANT this sort of thing~ Well, FAR from it... and if you think so, your sick & need help. This woman was a 1 person crusade, as NO ONE would help her~??? It IS your DUTY as a PUBLIC official to see that justice is served. IF not, then who wants to live in your nasty country? I'll make my own petition to get votes for people to NOT visit, vacation, live, have nothing to DO with Venezuela~ and I WILL! ...Don't make the mistake that I'll forget~ I won't. I'll have all my friends, church & job site people, everyone I know, sign the Petition to keep Venezuela OFF their list of "places to see"... and it will work! Then ALL I have to do is send it here!
