The mortgage market crisis is affecting all homeowners in the U.S. -- and the future of their families -- even if their own mortgage situation is stable. As more homes go into foreclosure, nearby property values plummet, community tax bases decline and local services suffer.
Congress is considering legislation on the mortgage crisis in the coming weeks. The bill should:
If we can keep families in their homes, the housing market benefits and everyone wins. Sign the petition and tell your lawmakers they need to help the families who are in trouble to stabilize the economy for everyone.

I was born and raised in a multi family home owned by my grandmother and mother until my teen years after ny grandmother past away, but it instilled in me alot of things that is not available to families living in apartment buildings. My regret is that I was not old enough to keep the home myself, its now workth almost 300,000. Over the years I have attempted through these same govt programs to own my very own home again, but is only met with self rightous workers who states that by only 100 dollars less of my disability income I may never possess a house of my own nor will my children if they do not meet the so call low income standards that is always to high to be accepted. GOD BLESS UNITED STATES. |

An example of this is: About 10 years ago we bought a three bedroom, 2 1/2 bath in a great neighborhood. The prevous couple picked everything out, color of the paint, flooring, appliances, etc; unfortunately they didn't qualify for the entire loan and tried to borrow the difference, and yes you know the rest. They lost the money they had already put up front for paperwork and Realtor. And I hate to say this but we picked up a great bargain. We took the house as is, didnt have to pay any fees and we moved in the house with in 2 weeks with a payment of $334.00 a month, unbelievable huh? Now the house is paid for and my daughter is living there now with her two kids. And since then I have purchased a small apartment complex with affordable rent and my renters are mostly college kids and families with small children. Its a 20 unit complex, half with one bedroom and the other half with 2 bedrooms the rent is so affordable that I have a waiting list every fall. I believe that I have had luck with this sort of thing, and I like to pass it on if I can. |
