Baby Boomers Set to Lose Medicare Services! Sign the Letter to Congress

With over 3.2 million baby boomers becoming eligible for Medicare by 2010, doctor payment cuts will create a medical care crisis for America’s seniors! Congress made a solemn promise to America's seniors to supply more affordable medical care, but now they’re limiting seniors’ access to doctors, making it harder for them to get the care they need. If we don't act soon, older Americans will have a harder time finding medical and surgical specialists, and have to travel farther to see them. More Medicare patients will be forced go to expensive emergency rooms - not a doctor’s office - for routine care. And doctors will not be able to purchase new medical equipment and information technology. Urge your Senators to make good on their promise to older adults by saying no to Medicare pay cuts.

We have been paying into social security and medicare our entire lives. If you are making cuts, there ought to be another answer for seniors before the cuts are made. I can understand if we are moving on to another form of health care, but to just make these cuts and literally "cut off" 60% of new seniors from doctors who normally would take them is a catastrophy! It sounds like these cuts will end up costing us all way more in very short order!

I currently work as a home health care provider. The elderly women I work with are just hanging on. Sometimes they have to not purchase medications that they need in order to pay the gas or electric bill. This is totally uncalled for. These people are at the point of their life where they are suppose to be enjoying themselves. Plus I am 45 yrs. old can you just imagin what the health care will be like when myself or my husband will need it???? We need help. Our country is forgetting about us. Pam Heckmen
