With over 3.2 million baby boomers becoming eligible for Medicare by 2010, doctor payment cuts will create a medical care crisis for America’s seniors! Congress made a solemn promise to America's seniors to supply more affordable medical care, but now they’re limiting seniors’ access to doctors, making it harder for them to get the care they need. If we don't act soon, older Americans will have a harder time finding medical and surgical specialists, and have to travel farther to see them. More Medicare patients will be forced go to expensive emergency rooms - not a doctor’s office - for routine care. And doctors will not be able to purchase new medical equipment and information technology. Urge your Senators to make good on their promise to older adults by saying no to Medicare pay cuts.
We signed the “Baby Boomers Set to Lose Medicare Services! Sign the Letter to Congress” petition!

These people deserve a little kindness most of them served this country before you or I were even born! Have a heart. THEY TRIED TO MAKE THIS A BETTER PLACE before we can along and screwed it up. If we don't take care of our own what do you think the other countries will think of us.

My mother is an elderly person! We all have elderly people in our lives whom we love, and no elderly person should be treated like they'e disposable. Not providing adequate health care is in essence treating the elderly like they are disposable, in my opinion.

I have been working since I was 18 years old with only a two year break, one to take care of my son who was 12, the other when I was laid off at 50 years of age. I have had a very difficult time getting the same wage as I had at my previous job, and am struggling to make ends meet at 53. Now I hear that all the years I have been promised to be taken care of when I am of retirement age have just been a lie. I have paid into social security my whole life and I never wanted to, but with the understanding that it was important to be taken care of properly when I could not longer work.
I am very upset about this as this is the one thing that American workers have going for them is the guarantee that they will be taken care of in the winter of their lives.
Will America sell us short again or will the American promise be kept alive?

My tax dollars pay for your gold plated health insurance, why can't my tax dollars pay for everyone else's? Less than 60% of the public is without a public viable health plan like yours. Why won't you supply me with what you have?

health care for the elderly is very important they should not be pushed on one side and be ignored and foregoten we are all heading in the same direction the government is doing all these stupid things by increasing medicine and other things to how is the elderly people going to afford these things they need our help and secondly they more vunrable to youngsters on the streets because old people get beaten up and kicked in and there belongings get stolen then police start asking stupid questions to the old people they need serious caring.

I already have medicare being disabled. Since the cut backs that have already happened quality of care has dropped drastically. Any more cuts will make it harder if not impossible to receive proper care and medications. Stop the cuts!!!
