With over 3.2 million baby boomers becoming eligible for Medicare by 2010, doctor payment cuts will create a medical care crisis for America’s seniors! Congress made a solemn promise to America's seniors to supply more affordable medical care, but now they’re limiting seniors’ access to doctors, making it harder for them to get the care they need. If we don't act soon, older Americans will have a harder time finding medical and surgical specialists, and have to travel farther to see them. More Medicare patients will be forced go to expensive emergency rooms - not a doctor’s office - for routine care. And doctors will not be able to purchase new medical equipment and information technology. Urge your Senators to make good on their promise to older adults by saying no to Medicare pay cuts.
We signed the “Baby Boomers Set to Lose Medicare Services! Sign the Letter to Congress” petition!

The elderly are being treated horrifically. It's like Congress would rather take those who start collecting SSN to basically just die. They will if they cannot afford better health care and if their money keeps dwindling due to Congress' negligence and selfishness. They have nothing to worry about they are and always will be covered and taken care of. It's unfair and BS.

I will be elderly one of these days. I want to be sure that the elderly right now are protected because I would want the same for myself when I grow old.

These People Will Not Be Able To Afford To
Get Treatment For Emergencies If The Funding
Is Cut To Doctors On Medicare.Do Not Vote For
Funding Cuts About This Medical Necessity.
Instead Cut More Military Programs Because
In General The Pentagon Eats Too Much Of The
Total Government Budget.

We owe it to our seniors to provide the desperately needed care. Our government can allocate unnecessary funding to "ear marks" projects, that do no more than soothe the ego of the politician. We need our government to pay attention to the needs of our society at large and make some intelligent and decisive decisions.

Monica Lyons

Because most of the peole you are cutting off have done more for this country than you do sitting in judgement of everything and everybody, you people don't care about the poor or middle class it is all about who can afford to pay and forget those that cannot.

I am a Baby Boomer, and I vote. Cutting Medicare payments is wrong, wrong, wrong. Already seniors are having difficulty finding doctors willing to accept Medicare patients. Payments for services from Medicare haven't kept pace with across the board inflation in recent years, much less the cost of delivering adequate and compassionate medical care. Social consciense demands seniors have access to adequate health care, and reducing Medicare payments jeopordizes access for millions of seniors. This piece of legislation urgently needs to be passed as a first step in assuring seniors access to adequate health care.

You people suck. Not enough money for your pet projects and to line your pockets, just take it from the poor and senior citizens. You make me sick.

It is a crime how this country is in crisis yet the President continues to have one goal and that is to make himself richer with oil. He is destroying this country! I aleady see many people not able to afford Dr. appointments including myself. It has to stop!
