With over 3.2 million baby boomers becoming eligible for Medicare by 2010, doctor payment cuts will create a medical care crisis for America’s seniors! Congress made a solemn promise to America's seniors to supply more affordable medical care, but now they’re limiting seniors’ access to doctors, making it harder for them to get the care they need. If we don't act soon, older Americans will have a harder time finding medical and surgical specialists, and have to travel farther to see them. More Medicare patients will be forced go to expensive emergency rooms - not a doctor’s office - for routine care. And doctors will not be able to purchase new medical equipment and information technology. Urge your Senators to make good on their promise to older adults by saying no to Medicare pay cuts.
We signed the “Baby Boomers Set to Lose Medicare Services! Sign the Letter to Congress” petition!

We my Husband and I served the military for 24 years and are just now starting to use the Tricare benefit - we worked for it our gross pay was $750 a month - we deserved what we worked for the benefits - and medicare is where Military veterans turn after age 65

With the growing disappearance of the middle class (my family), we are going to be dependent on medicare. We have medical needs and medicare will be our source for medical care. Keep medicare patients competitive for healthcare professionals by at least keeping them at their current rate of reimbursement. There are areas of pork that can be cut from the budget rather than cutting the promises that have been made to America's elderly.

Why would Medicare have pay cuts with so many baby boomers? There needs to be a reassessment of how funds are allocated by the federal government. The portion of the population that grows more fragile needs more protection, not less. What does it say about us as a country when we leave the elderly to fend for themselves after many of these folks have fought and worked hard to keep our freedoms? We need our representatives and senators to be more sane and less influenced by lobbyists.
