On Thursday, April 10, cities all over the United States will be going orange to celebrate the ASPCA's victories on behalf of animals and the joy they bring to pet parents everywhere. Lend us your voice on April 10 by dressing yourself, your kids, your pet -- even your school or company! -- in ASPCA orange, and show the world you support the ASPCA and the pets we protect.

ALOT!! All 4 of our dogs are rescue dogs who were given a second chance!! Pepe(12, got him from the ASPCA when he was 10), Bart, Freeway (we found him on the FREEWAY) and Gypsy are all the reason the I need!! And Ozzy, may he rest in peace. Our beloved cat who passed away last year!

Although I don't particularly care much for the color orange when it comes to most things like clothes, cars, houses, hair, shoes, makeup, soda pop, candy (no pun intended), & a few others that momentarily escape my mind, I do believe it is for a good cause that we should take part in this endeavor to show support for the ASPCA on April 10. (Perhaps I should mention that there are actually a few orange things that I do like such as oranges, orange juice, carrots, carrot juice, carrot cake, carrot salad, penguin feet, duck beaks, goldfish, monarch butterflies, pumpkins, pumpkin pie, yams & sweet potatoes, clown fish, Viceroy butterflies, Irish setters, campfires, peaches, leaves, flowers, sunsets, cats, planets & moons, tomatoes, & lights -- to name a few.) Well, despite my personal preference to avoid orange in my general attire I shall endeavor to incorporate such in some fashion to show my support for this worthy cause and I urge all who love animals to do the same. ... And remember, when people ask, you tell them why you are wearing that funny orange hat! ;) |
