Make Waves for Oceans - Stop Off-Shore Oil Drilling

For over two
decades, a federal moratorium on new offshore oil and gas drilling
has protected the beauty and ecology of our coasts. Now a group of politicians in Washington, led by Rep. Richard Pombo (R-Ca), is
attacking this moratorium.
Pombo, with support from oil conglomerations, has introduced legislation that would eliminate the federal moratorium on off-shore drilling, and open our coasts to resource exploitation. This bill would undo decades of protection for our sensitive ocean and coastal resources, and places thousands of miles of coastline at risk of catastrophic oil spills.
Offshore drilling is not a solution to America's energy problems, and will harm coastal economies more than it will help them.

Don't do the drilling! NO one wants it! It is destructive and will not solve the oil dependent economy. Try breaking out those solar cars and other energy efficient vehicles you've got on the shelf that were not allowed into the market place because of greedy oil companies. WE have the technology to completely stop being dependent on the oil economy! Let's do it! Don't support oil drilling off our coasts.
