It used to be that if you worked hard, raised your family and played by the rules, you'd be OK. But that's no longer true. Today, the burden of saving for retirement, paying for health care and supporting aging parents falls much more heavily on individuals.
For many people, the American dream is eroding. The presidential candidates have said too little about the long-term financial security crisis Americans face every day. Over the next couple weeks, the presidential candidates will do their best to reach voters in the final key primaries. Now, during this critical period for both sides, it is time to demand that leaders develop a real plan of action.

We need to start looking at our future. Instead of spending all our money on a Republican George W Bush War we need to bring our troops home and help the people in our country. If Americans do not wake up and keep allowing the Republican Party into the power they will only bring us more into poverty. Not only should a plan be laid out, but the candidate should ADHERE to that plan. Along with the plan they put forth, I am very interested in knowing where the funding will come from. So many times our country is in a position to help its own, but money is mismanaged and goes to programs that don't merit the monies they are receiving. I would really like to see accountability in spending. Don't keep taxing me if you can't even tell me what you are doing with all my money in the first place.
