Stop Senate Republicans From Stalling Efforts to Prevent Foreclosures

Target: U.S. Senate Republicans
Sponsored by: Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee
Millions of Americans are losing their homes in the worst foreclosure crisis in recent memory, and the Bush Republicans in Washington are content to sit on their hands.

That's not good enough for the American people, so Democrats are doing everything we can to rush federal assistance to people devastated by the mortgage crisis.  But again, George Bush threatened to veto House legislation to provide immediate assistance to those in need.

You can help us show our opponents that the American people are serious about solving these problems.  Please sign our petition and join our efforts today.

Our economy is on the very brink of recession and foreclosure rates have nearly doubled in the last year. Over 2 million Americans are at risk of losing their homes and losing their grip on the American Dream. Yet Senate Republicans are doing nothing to address the foreclosure crisis.

These foreclosures hurt us all. They damage an already teetering economy in a downward spiral of falling home values and decreased tax bases, and they put our friends and neighbors out of their homes.

We can't afford to sit around and wait for these issues to sort themselves out. We, the undersigned, urge Senate Republicans to stop delaying the Democrats' efforts to prevent foreclosures.
We signed the “Stop Senate Republicans From Stalling Efforts to Prevent Foreclosures” petition!

I am blaming President Bush for all his corporate involvement, and he has done nothing to to help small town America. Our Troops will not be liking this when they return to America and having no homes to live in.You cannot live in shame.

If we could only get a real leader elected! We will not see change of any sort by the current "leaders".

It's time to end this crisis...even after filing bankruptcy we still lost our house in forclosuer. My heart goes out to all the people in America who have and are losing their homes, and believe me when I say this....it's not due to being less responsible than others.

Republicans in the Senate don't give a rats ass that the country is in a foreclosure crisis. It doesn't affect them. Vote them out, then you'll see them care.

America is supposed to be a 1st world country, but because of the greedy, short sighted republicans, many born & raised Americans live as 3rd world citizens. How embarrassing for us! Many Americans are dreaming of 11/08.

I've so far managed to save my home from foreclosure not once, but twice. I have a good lawyer. How about those who don't?
