Millions of Americans are losing their homes in the worst foreclosure crisis in recent memory, and the Bush Republicans in Washington are content to sit on their hands.
That's not good enough for the American people, so Democrats are doing everything we can to rush federal assistance to people devastated by the mortgage crisis. But again, George Bush threatened to veto House legislation to provide immediate assistance to those in need.

The United States' economic situation is going to hell in a hand basket. It's better to keep citizens in their homes and work out a payment program with their mortgage holders, than for banks, etc. to keep taking over these homes.
