Stop the Political Attack on Choice in Michigan!

You can tell it's an election year in Michigan. Michigan's legislature is still wasting time and our taxpayer dollars on anti-women's health bills. Some state legislators are currently pushing through an unnecessary and wasteful bill, which would prohibit a certain type of abortion that was already banned by the ultra-conservative Supreme Court of the United States.
Michigan Senate Bill 776 prohibits a rarely used, yet medically necessary abortion method, but does not provide an exception to protect a woman's health. Furthermore, this medical method is already outlawed in Michigan and across the country.
Tell your representative and Speaker Dillon to work for progress in Michigan instead of continuing the wasteful and divisive antics that now define the Michigan legislature.

Do not, I repeat do not try to pass a law "that protects myself from myself"... there are enough laws trying to protect us from ourselves. I have a brain and can handle tough decisions. Although I personally do not think I would ever have had an abortion, I realize that abortion is a choice that should be open to anyone who makes that decision. It should be a personal choice and not one manipulated by law. The bill you are proposing is unnecessary in light of the fact that it is already a federally banned procedure, and carries with it a ban on medically necessary abortions to protect a womans health. Please find more constructive ways to spend your time and my money!

I think that if there is already a bill that has been passed on certain types of abortion why is there a need to waste taxpayers dollars on passing another bill. This to me doesn't make any sense. There are other things that need to be addressed and this is not to say that prohibiting abortion is not necessary.
