You can tell it's an election year in Michigan. Michigan's legislature is still wasting time and our taxpayer dollars on anti-women's health bills. Some state legislators are currently pushing through an unnecessary and wasteful bill, which would prohibit a certain type of abortion that was already banned by the ultra-conservative Supreme Court of the United States.
Michigan Senate Bill 776 prohibits a rarely used, yet medically necessary abortion method, but does not provide an exception to protect a woman's health. Furthermore, this medical method is already outlawed in Michigan and across the country.
Tell your representative and Speaker Dillon to work for progress in Michigan instead of continuing the wasteful and divisive antics that now define the Michigan legislature.

I find it appalling that you are pushing a bill about this issue when it is only used to save the mother's life. Please focus on some real issues in Michigan, like the economy and alternative energy sources, and finding ways to bring more jobs to Michigan. Thank you.

As a registered nurse who has worked for twenty years in maternal medicine, I know first hand that no two cases are the same and this bill will harm women if allowed to pass. As the mother of two teenage daughters I am ashamed of the Michigan Legislature and their backward veiws. Do the right thing and bury this bill.

Women's health and it's protection have been underminded when it comes to issues like abortion. We are already treated as the weaker sex by receving less pay then men, bullied into identifying with conservitive roles in order to make men, as well as many people in power happy! It is time that this stops. Roe vs. Wade happened for a reason! Are you the goverment going to feed and cloth the children in poverty? NO! You'll make citizens barely making it already do so. Stop and think about what is best for everyone. It is sad that even those conservitives don't care how a child lives or suffers as long as it lives.

Abortion is a terrible attack on babies and hurts women. Women suffer their entire life with the lies that Abortion is necessary to solve the problem of an unwanted pregnacy. There are other ways to act responsible in a pregnacy crisis for instance Adoption is better than taking a innocent life of one who cannot speak for themself. Stop the ban on abortion. Women deserve to decide whether or not to carry a child to full term or not. I chose to have my child even though I was unwed. I had a choice. When is enough enough? Why can't anything of good measure for the benefit of all Michiganders ever get through to the PEOPLE instead of hearing the same old same old in-fightling. This Bill is a total waste of time and money, yet millions of Michigans citizens are without adequate health care!!! Yet our legislators have real 100% medical coverage!! I can't imagine why all of Michigans people don't have coverage ----- total coverage as do the legislators. I am sure you legislators can find the money and the time to take care of this. If not, it is time for you all to move on. Time for some younger people with fresh and better ideas to get together and make something happen. This citizens are getting no representation there in Lansing and that is going to change! Time for a Change.
