Oppose the Crawford Nomination: he's trying to block birth control, let's block him!

President Bush has nominated Lester Crawford, who helped block attempts to improve womenÂ’s access to birth control, for the top job at the Food & Drug Administration (FDA).
During Crawford's tenure as acting commissioner, the FDA has ignored the recommendation from its own scientific and medical experts and blocked "Plan B", which is an application to make the morning-after pill available without a prescription.
Speak out with two Senate Democratic leaders, Patty Murray from Washington and Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York, who are holding up his nomination until the FDA acts on the application.
Urge your senators to join Senators Murray and Clinton and oppose the Crawford nomination.

WE are overpopulated with unwanted children who most likely become problems of society. We need a population policy. We are increasing our numbers in the USA by 3 Million people per YEAR. In 1954 US population was 150 Million today we are more that 300 Million. 300 years ago WORLD population was 1 BILLION. Today we have more that 6 BILLION!!. They are forecasting 20 BILLION by the end of this century. At this rate we will soon choke from our own pollution and deplete our natural resources. Are we having an energy shortage and water shortage? What about a food shortage in third world nations. We keep on feeding them but they keep on popping more babies. Don't breed em if you can t feed em. Look at Easter Island….WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!

Rather than allowing laxity of proper testing, like with mad cow disease, we need someone who will realize the importance of securing scientific data about this disease instead of randomly testing and introducing deadly disease into the American community. This same person has to believe that scientific research is valid when it comes to safe birth control measures and accept scientific evidence to protect American women from disastrous consequences of unplanned pregnancies. Please block Crawford from the FDA or we Americans may suffer the consequences of someone's who makes decisions without investing in or paying attention to results of scientific data.

Last i checked, this used to be America...where ideals repugnant to the Constitution are NULL AND VOID...isn't it about time that you represent the wishes for personal freedom continuously being cried out by your constituents, We, The People?
