Target:2008 Presidential Candidates Sponsored by:Pre-K Now
Access to high-quality pre-k shouldn't be about where a child lives or luck or family income. The proven and lasting benefits of quality pre-k should be available to all who want it.
Pre-k can raise academic achievement and graduation rates, reduce grade repetition and special education needs, and teach invaluable social skills and teamwork.
The presidential candidates must show leadership on this issue now by making pre-k a campaign priority. Ask the candidates what they will do to help all children start school ready to succeed.

Yes, it is imperative to give priority to Pre-K education. We have far to many adults unable to read and write and perhaps a good way to minimize Pre-K expenses is to include an incentive for non-reading adults to assist in the care of Pre-k children in exchange for some basic reading and writing skills.

Our children and education should be one of the most important issues. Every child deserves the best life has to offer.

Pre-K Education is essential to our country. Our schools have fallen behind. Universal Pre-K is a must.

As a pediatrician and an early childhood educator, I doubly support pre-K education for all children.

Government should get out of the educational business and the states and your own community should get together to educate your own children. I should not have to pay for your childs education. My children are home schooling thier kids and i stand firmly behind home schooling. they are not taking any one elses money. neighborhoods should get together and home school thier own children. Mothers and Fathers should care about the knowledge their own kids are getting or missing out on. Do something for yourselves and your own families and stop looking for handouts.

I understand parents preparing children for school, but at the rate they are increasing what the children need to know before they enter school, they should be paying for it. With the economy the way it is, both parents have to work and that leaves less time to be teaching children at home what they are expected to know. Help would be appreciated.

hello My name is Mary and I think that Pre-K shjould be available to all that want to do it and not just to the families with high incomes or based on where they live i believe that all children should be allowed to do the Pre-k thing so that maybe our country might be able to see more grauates than drop outs
Thanks
Mary Norris
