Demand the Truth from the Bush Administration!

When President Bush told the American people on Sunday, September 7th, that he needed $87 billion from Congress for the reconstruction and occupation of Iraq, it was about twice what the administration had been saying we need.
And now, from a Los Angeles Times report on September 9, we learn that it's tens of billions of dollars short of what we'll actually need to finish the job in Iraq.
When is Bush going to be honest with the American people? We already know that Bush:
Politicized intelligence and twisted the facts in his rush to war, including telling the American people that Iraq sought uranium from Africa after it was proven false.
Announced "mission accomplished" long before the job in Iraq was finished. More American soldiers have died in Iraq after Bush's announcement than before it.
Failed to plan for a post-Saddam Iraq or the search for weapons of mass destruction. The Pentagon issued a classified report that blasted the administration for failing to plan for what came after the military victory.
And now we find out Bush still won't come clean about how much we need to rebuild Iraq.
It's time for President Bush to tell the truth to the American people.

Tell the people that have lost sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters, etc., that President Bush had a good reason to go to war. He lied, pure and simple. I feel sorry for those families and I am also sympathetic toward Prime Minister Tony Blair, who had the guts to back us up when no one else would. I believe that this "war" was definitely related to OIL, and Bush's interest in it. It sickens me to think that our president would rather let our country's troops be killed for that, than find a way to divert money from aid to foreign countries and tobacco companies towards creating alternative fuel. I have always known that Bush attacked Iraq for its oil not to oust Saddam or WMD and for all other reasons he said Iraq did...they are mostly lies...his real reason was OIL...that is not a good reason and there have been many losses of life over his greed of oil. All those blood that was shed is on the Bush Regime's hands. He has to answer for the losses of the lives.

If something as minor as a sexual indiscretion received so much scrutiny, the loss of many lives of both allied troops and Iraqis deserves AT LEAST that much attention! Maybe they did have them and moved them, when you plan on busting someone you dont go out here and annouce what you are going to do to them over and over again. We can demand an investigation but the chances of anything ever happening are slim to none. After this little stunt w/ Bush I have lost all confidence in our government.
