Senator George Voinovich (R-OH) proposed legislation that would postpone meaningful action on global warming pollution for at least twenty years.
The Voinovich bill is dressed up as a way to take action, but in fact is a detailed prescription for doing nothing.
The proposal would take away state authority to control global warming pollution, undermining efforts in dozens of states, including California, Florida and the Northeast members of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, which have set ambitious emissions reduction targets. And this is just the beginning.
We need to do everything we can to defeat Senator Voinovich's sham proposal. Email your Senators today.

Often leaders in the American government, when asked what and immediate action will be taken will be taken on global warming they point to other nations, however if America made concrete and binding agreements and acted on them as a matter of urgency then other nations would follow and implement vital global warming legislation. As the nation with the most influence and power America must lead the way, also America is one of the most polluting nations per person and on toatl average, so the nation is more obligated as well. A large percentage of new technogly, inventions etc are being made about animal species proctection, pollution reduction, global warming science, renewable energy and other realted sub-sections(literally everytime i watch the ''new inventors'' which is a mainstream tv show I observe an invention that herlps promote sustainability, it would be prudent of America to invest and bring more money and honour to your nation.
