Officials in the Bush/Cheney Administration are moving forward with plans to allow wolves to be killed in Idaho and Wyoming even before the animals are removed from the list of federally protected endangered and threatened species.
Help us stop them. Sign the petition today to send a message to U.S. Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne and urge him to abandon efforts to let states start killing wolves and to delay de-listing of gray wolves in the Northern Rockies.
We signed the “Stop the Bush/Cheney Sneak Attack on Wolves” petition!

I remember a few years back when you reintroduced the wolf to the yellowstone area. Now you want to kill them off?? What animal or we going to put into extension next.?

We must stop these hunts and assaults on wildlife even when it benefits one's own hobby especially those in our government who could find something better to do with their time I am sure!

There is no reason to kill off our wildlife when there are other ways of controlling offspring such as proper wildlife management. We need a President that is concerned about preserving our earth and its wildlife inhabitants, not killing everything off.

Wolves have been an icon of the United States, maybe not as popular as the horse. I'm tried of big business being representated (ranchers) at the expense of everything else.

This is outrageous! Why would Prez Bush try to undo everything that the past prez were trying to preserve? There has to be a better way. We are not going to sit here and let you kill our animals when you got ppl suffering out on the streets and not to mention in the middle of a war on terror. I mean cmon, what you tryinna be a killing machine? Do you have to bully everyone and everything? BACK OFF!

Like every living thing--we need to share our space with all species. The cruelty expressed in this act, doesn't stop with wolves, but rather dictates further actions of cruelty toward this earth, and all who inhabit it.

Am I the only one who thinks this sounds an aweful lot like the statements made by Bush/Cheney that Iraq was hiding a mass cache of weapons of mass destruction? If these ranchers don't want the wolves messing with their livestock, maybe they should put up better fences that'll prevent the wolves from eating their profit. Its common sense and not enough reason for the government to allow the annihalation of an endangered species has been provided. It must be that some lobbyist out there is paying hefty funds to Bush/Cheney for their agreement to this heinous act against nature and more specifically to the wolves whom are on the endangered species list and therefore DEMANDS our protection not a quick pass to extinction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why don't we citizens vote for a bill to allow hunting of Government officials who are more concerned with lining their pockets then to stop and think about the impact of their decisions are making!!!!!
