Wells Fargo Bank, one of America's largest banks and partner to many overseas banks and
corporations, is a top financier of destructive oil, coal, logging, and mining operations that contribute to global warming, ecosystem destruction, and human rights abuses.
The corrupt power of their finances funds organizations that have worked to rollback forest, endangered species and clean water protections devastating eco-systems and communities from Alaska to Appalachia.
Other US banks, like Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs, have taken a more responsible approach. Yet, Wells Fargo still does not have a comprehensive environmental and social policy.
It's time Wells Fargo Bank took responsibility for the destructive impact of its investments and charted a new course toward justice and sustainability. Sign this petition telling Wells Fargo Bank to get their act together!
We signed the “Tell Wells Fargo Bank to Stop Funding Dirty Energy” petition!

Institutions like Wells Fargo who spend their power on harmful enterprizes need to be siezed and liquidated into non-profit organizations that are fighting everyday to undo the damages these monsterous instutions are causing.

Big companies like Wells Fargo have the power and influence to make a difference. Sadly, so many of these mega-franchises are corrupt and their actions contribute significantly to global warming, air pollution, urban sprawl, and human rights abuses. I will boycott all companies who disrespect the environment like Wells Fargo does.

I knew I would not have to go far to find a wealth of complaints against what I figure to be the worst financial institution in the US. They not only destroy the planet, but they destroy young adult lives with their student loan program. With no help whatsoever from Wells Fargo, it took my son & I almost 2 years to get back the $14,000 loan for an I.T. course in Birmingham Al. In that class, (we know of others) there were 10 students. I can't say for certain but I have spoken to others who financed the course with Wells Fargo who are finding it as difficult to pay back the 14K + interest for a class that never happened. This scam school was owned by a known felon from the Atlanta-Birmingham area. This would explain why not one student was from Alabama or Georgia. We have spoken with students from Alaska, Washington, NY, NC, and the list goes on. As I said earlier, We alerted Wells Fargo to all of this as soon as we were certain of the facts, and to date my son has paid over $4,000 back. The latest payoff figure is $13,300. Do the math and you will see that my son has paid over $3,300 in interest. Add to that, he had to pay ( a real school) in Tampa to continue his career. To get to and from Tampa, (2 hrs each way) he had to drive his car with over 200,000 miles on it. We offered to pay back the full amount back without any interst and they turned us down. This is all after we sent them a copy of a DVD that was made by FOX6 Birmingham with the help of FOX13 Tampa Bay. On this DVD it shows the empty school void of all its contents. It also shows two trips to the home of the director of the school (nice house). On the first trip, Mom answered the door. Two weeks later the new owner answered stating that the Joseph's no longer live there. One thing I forgot to mention earlier is that as per my son's contract, all payments wer supposed to be deferred until he gets his certifications and is placed (lifetime job placement) in the workplace and earning what he should be. For us the last 2 years has been an exhausting (and learning) experience. Kind of ironic in that the school's name was MS Learning Partners. They had a nice website till it was shut down due to non payment. They left a bunch of unpaid bills including $20,000 to the motel where the students stayed. Why my son continues to make his payments on time is because He and I both have good credit scores. I forgot to mention that Wells Fargo would not approve the loan without a co-signer. So I became the co-signer. I would have done this again if the school in Tampa (offices in other major cities) had asked. Even knowing of his loan with MS Learning Partners, they had no problem getting him financed. I think you can see a pattern here. Wells Fargo even went as far as to say that the loan we took with them was a personal loan and it was not their fault that we made a poor choice in how we spent the money. They must think we're mentally challenged. The check was made out to the school and my son. It was to be endorsed by both and used only for tuition to not any school but only to MS Learning Partners. We never asked the school what bank they used. That was a mistake on our part however I did not know how disenchanted most patrons are after doing business with them. It was after the fact that I found that Wells Fargo has no problem with conducting business with the schools owner (bench warrant on him Atlanta PD). Then there is the hard working US citizen who (may) have been turned down for a mortgage only to see on the news that Wells Fargo grants funds to illegal aliens. For those who have read this far and are wondering where the money to pay off the loan came from, I'll tell you now. After contacting the FDIC,Birmingham PD, Atlanta Pd, Dept of US currency, 2 Attys, Hotel, offices,Post Secondary Dept of Education Al, Al Atty General and a slew of others, We could not catch these crooks. Then with the help of the school in Tampa, We discovered a bond put into trust with the Al Atty General. The state took a while to figure out what to do with money because this scenario has never happened in the state of Al prior to this. We have a letter from the Atty General which states that what my son got from MS Learning Partners was of little or no value. That entitled him to a full refund. We sent a copy of this letter along with a copy of the check to Wells Fargo. I told the bank that I thought our request was very reasonable. They wont budge. It appears that they couldn't care less. We promissed the bank that we were going to take our story from local FOX network to FOX NEWS and offer it to any other media that wants to run with it. Hopefully it wont take as long to air this time. The wait will worth it. Im sure the impact will much greater this time. The first time was School Scam leaves students out 14K. This time mention WELLS FARGO FINANCES SCAM SCHOOL LEAVING STUDENTS STRANDED. That should get the publics attention!
